THE 2007 TEAM

Work on the ancient Iron Age city (Fig. 1) located on the Kerkenes Dag, in the region of Yozgat (Figs 2 and 3) has continued since 1993 when an international team began multi-disciplinary research. The expedition base at Sahmuratli Village (Fig. 4) is closely associated with the growing Kerkenes Eco-Center. Villagers are employed for geophysical survey, excavations and other expedition tasks.
