Main sponsors in 1999 were the BIAA, the British Academy, the U.C. Berkeley and the Middle East Technical University. The addition of rooms to the expedition house has greatly facilitated operations, for which thanks are due to Yibitas Holding, Lafarge Aslan Çimento, Onduline, Çimentas, ODE, Nurol Holding and Sunay AS. Equally important for the future has been the provision of a large project room in the Faculty of Architecture at METU. This facility for data analysis and the preparation of publications have enabled us to move the project, with its rapidly increasing archive and electronic hardware, into a single location. MNG Holding, Balfour Beatty Metis, Dogan Alçi and Yapisan have contributed through the METU Development Foundation. Publication grants have been received from the Is Bankasi, Marc Fitch Fund, Dr. A.
